Overview

Substash ("the Extension") is a free subscription tracking browser extension for Chromium-based browsers. By using the Extension, you agree to these terms.

Service description

Substash provides:

• Subscription tracking with billing cycle management
• Email alerts for trial endings and renewals
• Currency conversion across 30+ currencies
• Cloud synchronisation across devices
• Spending analytics and insights
• Offline-first capability

The service is provided free of charge with no paid tiers, premium features, or advertisements.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Substash. Users under 18 require parental consent.

Your data

We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:

• Email address (for authentication)
• Subscription details you enter
• Alert preferences
• Anonymous usage analytics

We do not collect or access your browsing history, personal files, or financial information.

Third-party services

Substash uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Backend infrastructure and database
• Amazon SES: Email delivery
• Frankfurter API: Currency exchange rates
• PostHog: Anonymous analytics
• DuckDuckGo: Service logo retrieval

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access, modify, and delete your subscription data
• Export your data at any time
• Manage your notification preferences
• Delete your account

Limitations

Substash is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for:

• Service interruptions or data loss
• Missed subscription payments or billing errors
• Financial loss resulting from use of the Extension
• Accuracy of currency conversion rates

Substash is a tracking tool only. It cannot cancel subscriptions or access your financial accounts.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Extension settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers.

Intellectual property

Substash and its original content are owned by Chris Lim. You retain all rights to your subscription data.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
