The Extension stores only:
- Your preference for showing or hiding AI Overview (stored locally in Chrome)
This preference never leaves your device and is not a cookie. It is stored using Chrome's local storage API solely for functionality purposes.
Legal Basis
The storage of your toggle preference is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) as it is necessary for the Extension to function according to your settings. No consent is required as no personal data is collected or processed.
Permissions
We request the following Chrome permissions solely for functionality:
- Storage: To save your toggle preference
- WebNavigation: To intercept search requests before page load
- Tabs: To update URLs with the udm=14 parameter
- History: To clean up duplicate entries
- Host permissions (google.com): To modify Google Search URLs only
Third Parties
We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any data.
Your Rights
